Homemade Chai 


Chai is a hindi word meaning 'mixed spice tea'.

This is a warm drink that is fragrant and tasty and more importantly taps into ancient Ayurvedic knowledge to use the spices specifically, to aid digestion, boost the Immune System, and Reduce Inflammation 


Ingredients & Benefits


Cinnamon Stick Protects the heart, manages cholesterol levels and high blood pressure, and offers long-term blood sugar control. It is rich in antioxidants, and has antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-diabetic properties.


Fennel Seed Is a powerful antioxidant, as or more powerful than Vitamin E; having the ability to protect cells and DNA from oxidation damage. Fennel seed is also a strong anti-inflammatory. 


Green Cardamom Known as the 'Queen of Spices', cardamom boasts more than 25 volatile oils, including the antioxidant cineole. Besides for that, cardamom's work on the stomach assists in better toxin removal and nutrient absorption within the Digestive System. 


Clove Is a strong anti-inflammatory and antibacterial, it is also a source of the volatile oil known as eugenol. Clove's ability to heal cold sores and herpes is an indication of its ability to boost the Immune System. 


Black Peppercorn Known as the King of Spices, black pepper has been used for thousands of years as a Healer for human beings. Among the long list of its 'features' is its ability to jumpstart the body's digestive system. Effectively, black pepper increases the effectiveness of all the other spices plus itself. And this is largely due to it containing the volatile oil, pipperine. 


Ginger Besides being an ancient Healer of the stomach, ginger is rich in phytonutrients called gingerol, which are antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral.

Each spice has been pre-roasted before grinding. No artificial ingredients and rich in antioxidants.

Instructions

Put ½ - 1 teaspoon of chai in a cup of hot water and drink one cup with breakfast, and one cup after dinner. It is most beneficial to drink at least one cup a day Chai can also be sprinkled on pancakes, put into smoothies, sprinkle on porridge, sprinkle everywhere!

Our Digestive System is responsible for extracting toxins, and absorbing nutrients. Whatever is absorbed becomes our body - tissue, cells, blood etc. So if there are toxins being absorbed instead of removed, then these toxins are used to construct our body. Coriander Seeds can ease gas and bloating while improving overall digestion. Its cooling effect makes it useful for soothing both allergies and arthritis, two conditions caused by inflammation.
